Head of Unscripted Development & Production

Kelly Smith is Head of Unscripted Development and Production at Will Packer Media, responsible for developing and overseeing production of all unscripted projects. He is the executive producer of “Ready to Love” on OWN and was executive producer of “Blackballed,” “The Atlanta Child Murders,” “The Disappearance of the Millbrook Twins” and “Shark Trip: Eat. Prey. Chum.” 


Mr. Smith was previously Vice President of Development at 1963 Entertainment, a division of Endemol Shine North America. He oversaw development for CEO Randy Jackson to create unscripted and scripted content, selling projects to E! and BET. Prior to that Mr. Smith was Vice President of Flower Films, where he worked with Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen to develop scripted and unscripted content. He was executive producer of “Knife Fight” for the Esquire Network and sold “Rattled” to TLC and “Star Plates” to the Food Network. Mr. Smith also sold the feature “Animal” to the Chiller channel, which became its most-watched original movie. He worked alongside Ms. Barrymore to produce her short film “Our Deal” for MTV’s Supervideo series, winning a Webby Award for Best Online Film & Video.
